Back to School Barbecue a Smash!
Almost 100% of our families attended our program last night. It seems like everyone really enjoyed our family feeling and the informative sessions with our teachers.

Please welcome our new Teachers
Mrs. Denise Kopcho is our grade 5-8 math teacher and 7th grade homeroom teacher. Mrs. Kopcho has many years of experience teaching math, also serving as a coordinator of math. She has a wide range of experience with students of many ages and backgrounds. Mrs. Kopcho is known for her deep interest in her students and desire to meet their individual needs. She has demonstrated the ability to create a positive learning environment and has excellent classroom management. She will be a calm, strong, nurturing influence on our students. She holds a BA and MA from West Chester University and Level III PA certification. She is a very devout Catholic and feels called to teach our students.
Mrs. Kathy Twomey will teach Science to our seventh and eighth grade students. She has several years of experience teaching middle school and high school science. She also has extensive experience teaching students with special needs. She earned a Bachelor degree from University College, Cork, Ireland and a Master Degree from Lehigh University. Mrs. Twomey has been a parent in our school for more than three years. Her son, Dara, is entering sixth grade. She is very familiar with our Mission and will add her spirit and talents to benefit our children. Mr. Sean Palmer will teach History to students in grades 5-8 and Religion to grades 5-7. He will also be the sixth grade homeroom teacher. Mr. Palmer received a Classical education from Providence College, majoring in History, with a minor in the Classics. He is a deeply faith-filled man who will be a strong, positive influence on our students. His interest in Latin, Greek, and Philosophy will eventually benefit our students too!
Shannon Hendricks will teach Kindergarten. She is a former student of St. John the Baptist and has a sincere eagerness to give back to her/our school and community. She has experience in kindergarten at the Roberto Clemente Elementary School, and also has worked as an Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist. She received a BA in Psychology and is working on an MA in Elementary Education, both from Lehigh University. She has a strong background in psychology and child development. She will begin training in the Montessori method too. Shannon is an excellent addition to our staff.
